PRICES

All prices are quoted in US$ and are inclusive of all taxes. Postage and handling fees are not included. US$ payments only. Payment must be made prior to shipment. Please see: ORDERS > PAYMENT.

TEXTS: All text prices are negotiable. Please inquire.

IMAGES: Prices are calculated based on the following:
- MEDIA FEES: cost of providing prints or JPEGS (other formats available)
and / or
- RIGHTS (license) FEES: rights to reproduce and/or use an image in the public domain
plus (where applicable)
- SHIPPING FEES: postage and handling

JPEGS (email): JPEG images are high resolution, scanned at 350 dpi for an ideal final maximum print size of A3Super - (329 mm x 483 mm/ approx. 13 inches x 19 inches). Larger files available upon request, e.g. posters. Other file formats available upon request.

PRINTS (post): Print prices do not include postage. Postage will be calculated at time of order based on Japan Post ordinary air delivery rates (see: ORDERS > PAYMENT). Express or registered delivery available, if requested by the user. Photos will be sent uninsured, unless insurance is requested by the user. Photos damaged in delivery shall not be the responsibility of Jono David Media. Reshipment of photos requires repayment for replaced images, plus postage (unless postage/product fees are recoverable by insurance). Reprint discounts may apply in such circumstances.

PRINT SIZES:

- Postcard: (100 mm x 148 mm/ approx. 4 inches x 6 inches)
- 2L: (127 mm x 178 mm/ approx. 5 inches x 7 inches)
- A4: (210 mm x 297 mm/ 8.25 inches x 11.75 inches)
- A3Super: (329 mm x 483 mm/ approx. 13 inches x 19 inches)

PRINT TYPE:

Mat or Gloss (prints will be gloss unless otherwise requested by user).
Images printed on Epson photo paper using an Epson PX-G5000 eight color printer.

NOTE: Black & white and color images are priced the same, print or JPEG formats.

PRINT PRICES:

- POSTCARD: US$2 (minimum 10 postcards per order, or US$20 payment)
- 2L: US$9 (minimum 5 2L per order, or US$45 payment)
- A4: US$50
- A3SUPER: US$65
- CD-ROM: Images may be provided on CD-ROM for an additional flat fee of US$10 per disc.

NOTE: Print prices do not include license fees. Print orders for public use require an additional license fee of 50% of the base print fee per print, even duplicates. A minimum license fee of US$50 applies. Depending on use, higher license fees may apply.

NOTE: All prints are unmatted.

NOTE: Print fees do not include CLEAR PROTECTIVE SLEEVES (ENVELOPES) for each photograph.
- Postcard and 2L: US$0.20 each
- A4 and A3-Super: US$1.00 each

JPEG PRICES (delivered via email):

- SMALL file size (good for prints up to POSTCARD): US$10 per image
- MEDIUM file size (good for prints up to 2L): US$15 per image
- LARGE file size (good for prints up to A4): US$25 per image
- ORIGINAL file size (good for prints up to A3Super): US$45 per image

NOTE: For other digital file type prices, please inquire. TIF files, for example, will be delivered on CD-ROM via mail due to large, file sizes unsuitable for emailing. An additional flat fee of US$10 per disc will apply, plus shipping fees (to be calculated at time of order).

BOOKS, JOURNALS, PERIODICALS, NEWSPAPERS (Local or Worldwide):

Journal, periodical, and newspaper fees include license for one-time use.

1/4 page: $90

- Book rates (same as above) are on the basis of a print run of 10,000 books.
10% discount on print runs fewer than 5,000.
20% discount on total order where 6+ images are used.
25% discount for reuse in revised or reprinted edition.
50% discount for textbook/academic/non-profit use.

- Additional charges incurred where print run exceeds 10,000.
25% addition for print runs of 10,001 - 25,000
50% addition for print runs of 25,001 - 50,000
75% addition for print runs of 50,001 - 100,000
100% addition for print runs of 100,001 +

TELEVISION & VIDEO:

tx = transmission
First tx, local: $75; repeat tx: $50
First tx, EU/North America: $120; repeat tx: $75
First tx, worldwide: $180; repeat tx: $100

Fees are based on the number of transmissions (TX), up to 12 seconds per tx, with a maximum license period of 10 years from first broadcast. License fee included.

FILM: Please inquire.

WEBSITES (Internet):

Fee includes license for stipulated period.

- Editorial use:
up to 1 month: $50
up to 3 months: $80
up to 1 year: $120

- Commercial / advertising use:
up to 1 month: $100

- Academic / educational / museum use:
up to 1 month: $25

- YouTube (and other similar streaming video websites):
up to 1 month: $100
up to 3 months: $150
up to 1 year: $175…fees repeat accordingly for longer periods of time.

CD / DVD:

Fee includes license for one-time print run.

Print run up to 10,000: $120
Print run up 10,001 - 50,000: $200
Print run 50,001+: $350

NOTE TO PUBLISHERS: Images may be available at your publication’s freelance rates. Please inquire.

NON-PROFIT RATES:

Images from the HaChayim HaYehudim Jewish Photo Library® may be provided at reduced rates for non-profit organizations. Conditions apply. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All decisions are at the discretion of Jono David Media.

General Conditions:

1. only “established” non-profit / educational organizations are eligible
2. images may be used in print and/or electronic media provided that these media are available to the public completely free of charge
3. all images must be properly credited
4. all TERMS & CONDITIONS and LICENSING rules apply — please read carefully
5. where possible, a link to www.jewishphotolibrary.com must be posted
6. special conditions may apply

ORIGINAL IMAGE FORMAT:

The majority of images available from JDM were originally photographed on 35 mm color slide (positive/reversal) film; other images were recorded on 35 mm color print (negative) film. At this time, few images were originally produced digitally.

- SF = slide (positive/reversal) film
- NF = negative (print) film
- BW = black and white (monochrome) film
- DI = digital image.

PRODUCT DISPUTES & REFUNDS:

- Jono David Media takes every possible measure to meet the needs of its clients. In the event that a product is not satisfactory, please contact us (jono@gol.com) detailing the problem. Your concerns will be addressed promptly. In the event that a product dispute cannot be resolved, refunds may, but not always, be in order.

- Refunds are not available to users who cancel or change orders once images have been printed and/or shipped (“shipped” may be defined as after an order has either been sent electronically or by post, not necessarily receipt of product by the user).

- JPEGS (and other emailed images in all formats): Refunds are available only in the event that images are shipped to the user after a specified date/time of receipt. Jono David Media is not responsible for late delivery in the unlikely event that a JPEG delivery is delayed due to internet service interruption. In the event of JPEG refunds, Jono David Media requests users to delete, in good faith, any images delivered to the user from any form of electronic or print storage.

- PRINTS: Refunds are not available for uninsured, damaged postal delivered orders. Damaged insured orders are subject to refund, minus any unrecoverable postal charges, and/or provided cost of insurance is recoverable. No charges shall be made for the prints themselves provided they are destroyed, in good faith, by the user. Damaged images do not need to be returned to Jono David Media. No refunds shall be made due to late delivery due to postal service delays.

- NOTE: No refunds shall be made for either JPEGS or PRINTS for any reason after 30 days from date of product shipment. TEXTS: Refunds are not available.

CANCELLATIONS:

- Print orders may be canceled prior to printing.
- CD-ROM orders may be canceled prior to postal shipment.
- JPEG orders may be canceled prior to email shipment.
- Text orders may be canceled prior to email shipment.
